questions.

1. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THE SHINE BACK ON MY TUB?
If you have attempted to clean the tub with normal household cleaners and the tub remains dull or dirty in appearance, there is probably nothing you can do to restore the shine. The original finish ( glaze ) has become worn leaving the pores exposed to absorb the dirt and chemical stains. Unfortunately, the more one scrubs, the worse the situation becomes. A new finish is the answer.

2. IS IT REAL PORCELAIN?
No, it is not porcelain.  It is a synthetic, which is actually better than Porcelain.  This synthetic, which when applied hardens to a beautiful high-gloss, non-porus luster. It is far less toxic then porcelain and leaves a smoother, glossier surface than a porcelain finish.  The smoother finish of the synthetic also benefits in making the surface much easier to clean and maintain.

3. WILL MY HOME BE FILLED WITH CHEMICAL ODORS FROM THE PROCESS?
No, not at all.  The odor from the synthetic is very minimal. We use a special fan purification system called a "CAT" unit which does away with any odors.

4. HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Normally, one day. All work is done in the tub area, and there is no mess for you to clean up. Most of the process is spent preparing the older looking tub. There may be some grinding, sanding, various chemical use and some filling may be required, however all work is done the same day.  The process takes only 3-4 hours to complete.

5. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO USE MY BATHTUB AFTER THE PROCESS IS COMPLETE?
The resurfacing process can be done in two ways.  The ideal method is drying. With drying your bathtub will be ready for use after only 24 hours upon process completion. If this is your only bathtub and you cannot wait 24 hours, we provide the option of baking.  Baking is a simple process that will allow the bathtub to be ready for use the same evening the job is completed.

6. DO YOU REMOVE ANY OF THE PLUMBING FIXTURES?
No. We take special care to make sure all fixtures are properly protected. Plumbing problems, ( leaks, broken fixtures, etc....) are highly recommended to be resolved before we schedule the job to be done.

7. DO I HAVE TO RE-CAULK MY TUB AFTER RESURFACING IS COMPLETE?
No. We remove all existing caulk and replace with new caulk before resurfacing the tub leaving a low maintenance mildew proof caulk line.

8. WILL IT LOOK LIKE A BRAND NEW TUB?
Yes.  You wil not be able to notice any difference between a new bathtub and our refinished product.

9. DO YOU ALSO RESURFACE SINKS AND TILE?
Yes, along with garden tubs and shower stalls.

10. WHAT SPECIAL CLEANERS MUST I USE ON MY NEW FINISH?
No special cleaners are neccesary.  Most of the liquid cleaners are fine, except those containing lemon . We highly
recommend a non-abrasive, non-lemon  foam cleaner.

11. IS MY FINISH GUARANTEED?
Yes, all resurfacing carries a 5 year warranty. For specifics of the warranty, please refer to that information via the home page.

12. WHY ISN'T IT CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW TUB?
Our best answer to this most frequently asked question is to suggest that you compare one or more estimates which reflect the total cost of installation of a new tub with our price to resurface your present tub. Make sure your estimates include plumbing costs for labor and fixtures, as well as cost for replacing wall and floor tile damaged during the removal of the old tub. Insist on receiving a quality replacement tub not a weekend special.  Resurfacing can be done at the fraction of the cost and time it takes to replace a bathtub.
Your questions concerning our amazing process are probably similar to those asked by many others who just like you, were faced with some of the same porcelain problems. If so, the answers can be found here.

Since most of the questions asked are primarily regarding bathtubs, we will make that our main focal point.
